Provides financial assistance to eligible individuals who seek to pursue a career in health care. All tuition costs are subsidized for licensed practical nursing, primary and advanced care paramedicine students.

Provides free tuition to complete a post secondary certificate or diploma for resident care workers. SkillsPEI will pay 100% of tuition costs and applicants may be eligible to receive financial supports while participating in training. Courses must be taken at Holland College, Collège de l'Île, or Marguerite Connolly Training and Consulting.

Provides financial support to complete a General Educational Development (GED) or Academic Upgrading courses. Bridging programs, Literacy/Numeracy and English/French as a Second Language may also be supported. Full tuition is paid up to $9000. Travel and childcare are also available for eligible applicants.

Provides financial assistance to eligible individuals to help them complete a post-secondary certificate or diploma and transition to sustainable employment in a health related priority occupation currently experiencing skill shortages in PEI.

Up to 70% of course costs are paid and students are are responsible for the remainder of the course costs. Further financial supports may be available while participating in training.

Provides a training program for those working toward professional certification in a designated skilled trade in PEI. The program offers a combination of on-the-job training with a qualified tradesperson (80%) with in-class training (20%).

A list of designated skilled trades in PEI is available on the website.Applicants must already have secured employment with a qualified tradesperson they can train under.
