Free shingles vaccine (Shingrix) is available to PEI seniors through community pharmacies in Epekwitk / PEI.

Provides a community-based home care service designed to support older adults who are Francophone or bilingual, as well as their caregivers. Includes:

• Physical exercises
• Cognitive simulation to arts, crafts, and social interaction
• Respite for caregivers

• Memory
• Depression
• Mobility and gait
• Daily care, e.g. bathing, grooming or cooking
• Medication management

Provides in-person support groups for individuals living with MCI or the early stages of dementia to connect with others living a similar journey and support each other. Meetings are held in Charlottetown. Features of meetings include:

• Exchanging information and form friendships
• Accessing the most current information about dementia
• Learning and sharing practical tips for coping
• Decreasing feelings of loneliness and isolation
• Express feelings and receive support
  
• Finding a sense of hope

Provides health care services such as:

• General physician services
• Home and community care supports
• Substance abuse counselling
• Access to fitness and maternal health professionals
• Child and family wellness programming
• Health and nutrition programs, including services aimed at those with diabetes
• Individual and group wellness programs to help with day to day life skills and help with referrals to other programs that can help
• Gender-Affirming Care referrals
• Drop-in Health Clinic

Provides education sessions to help people living with dementia, and their family members and friends to live as well as possible with the disease. Participants have opportunities to learn and share with others who are affected by dementia. The sessions include:

• A comprehensive overview of Alzheimer's and other dementias
• Skills needed to provide day to day care
  
• How to understand changes in behaviour, personality, and communication
• Coping strategies
  
• Available resources and support
  
• Care in the later stages
  

• Full initial health screening
• Education on how exercise can help with specific health conditions and any considerations for those on medication and treatment
• Exercise suggestions that are progressive and tailored to meet individual physical ability. A resistance band will be mailed to home and is the only equipment needed
• Intention setting sessions, movement challenges, and recreational aspect (trivia, etc.) along the way
• Introduction to the Graduate Program which will be available after the introductory program has been completed

Helps identify early identification of risk for falls. Includes:

• Fall risk screening by a physiotherapist
• Home exercise program
• Home safety information
• Education to prevent falls and common foot issues
• Eight-week follow-up and reassessment

Travel clinics may be available in Montague, Summerside and O'Leary.
