Public Health - Eye See...Eye Learn Program Provided by: Health PEI

Provides one free eye exam and, if required, one free pair of glasses during a child's kindergarten year.

Helps cover the costs of annual eye exams and and up to three pairs of glasses for children in grades one-six, as needed.

Note: Children must be registered before submitting claims to Health PEI. Without proof of eligibility, families may need to pay full cost.

Recreation Subsidy Provided by: Brackley, Rural Municipality of - AKA: Rural Municipality of Brackley

Subsidy available to help offset the cost of a child's participation in a physical recreation activity. Maximum subsidy is $150 per child or 50% of the registration fee, whichever is the lesser of the two, to a maximum of $300 per family, all per year.

Assists eligible parents with the cost of child care and daycare services for children up to 12 years of age.

Social Programs - PEI Child Benefit Provided by: Government of Prince Edward Island - Department of Social Development and Seniors - AKA: Formerly Department of Social Development and Housing

Provides a tax-free monthly payment to eligible families to help offset the costs of raising children. PEICB will be in addition to the federal Canada Child Benefit and is administered by CRA on behalf of the Government of PEI.

Student Financial Services - Severe Permanent Disability Benefit Provided by: Government of Prince Edward Island - Department of Workforce and Advanced Learning - AKA: Workforce, Advanced Learning and Population (former name)

Provides eligible applicants with financial relief by cancelling their PEI provincial student loan debt if they have a severe permanent disability that prevents them from participating in post-secondary studies and the labour force for the remainder of their life.

Wish Granting Program Provided by: Make-A-Wish Foundation - PEI Chapter - AKA: Unified with Children's Wish Foundation

Provides a wish to children diagnosed with a critical illness.

Different types of wishes can be granted and can include travel, kids meeting their favorite celebrity, and more. Staff works with the family closely to grant the wish.
