Concerned residents living in jurisdictions that do not have their own unsightly property by-laws can file an unsightly property complaint against properties they think are in violation of the Unsightly Property Act. A department representative will inspect the site.

An unsightly property refers to any property that has dilapidated buildings, derelict vehicles and litter located on the property which is visible to the public.

Anyone with concerns about the conduct of an RCMP police officer, civilian member or a supernumerary special constable can make a complaint.

No direct involvement in the incident is necessary, complaints can be made on behalf of someone else, or as a witness to an incident.

The RCMP member must have been performing their duties at the time of the conduct concern.
