Social, educational, sport and recreational activities for older adults.

Delivers library materials to individuals who are not able to visit a library in person. Items are chosen by library staff, and delivered to participants every six weeks.

Note: A similar delivery service is available for Community Care Facilities. Facility administration must contact PEI Public Library Service Headquarters to register for this program on behalf of residents.

Provides group and individual activities suited to seniors' personal abilities and interests while providing respite for family/friend caregivers. Some locations offer personal care services.

Provides opportunities surrounding volunteerism, mentoring, elder abuse awareness, social participation and inclusion. The program promotes three key factors: healthy living and disease prevention, social activity to reduce isolation, and cultural activities to keep Elders connected to traditional teachings.

Offers a free social gathering for older adults ages 50 years and older to prepare and enjoy meals together, with some food to take home. Participants also have an opportunity to learn dance movements that don't require a partner.

Non-credit courses for older adults, offered in winter, spring, and fall. Courses last one to eight weeks, are two to three hours in length and there are no exams or papers to write. An annual membership fee allows unlimited course attendance over three consecutive semesters. Categories include:

  • Skills and Activities
