Sexual Health

Provides peer support by connecting a participant with a volunteer peer, offering non-judgmental emotional and social support. This service is available regardless of the type of abortion or when it occurred.

Provides non-medical support to anyone needing an abortion. Includes:

• Navigating the medical system
• Connecting with a doula who can accompany them to appointments
• Transportation to and/or from the appointment
• Finding a place to stay overnight if travel to Halifax or Moncton is required
• After-care support, including a comfort package with a homemade rice heating pad, snacks (granola bars, fruit, tea), and a gift card to a local pharmacy
• Connecting with additional services

Offers access to low-barrier HIV testing options in partnership with REACH Nexus. To participate in the project and receive a test kit, individuals must download the "I'm Ready" mobile app. Test kits can be delivered or picked up at the Charlottetown office location.

Provides health care services such as:

• General physician services
• Home and community care supports
• Substance abuse counselling
• Access to fitness and maternal health professionals
• Child and family wellness programming
• Health and nutrition programs, including services aimed at those with diabetes
• Individual and group wellness programs to help with day to day life skills and help with referrals to other programs that can help
• Gender-Affirming Care referrals
• Drop-in Health Clinic

Provides reproductive counselling, information, and mental health support. Includes:

• Before a pregnancy
• Continuing a pregnancy
• Adoption
• Abortion
• Pregnancy loss
• Maternal (Perinatal and Postpartum) Mental Health Services
• Abuse during pregnancy

Provides confidential and supportive reproductive and sexual health care to Islanders of all genders, orientations and ages. Please note some services may only be available at a specific location.

Sexual health services include:

• Sexual health education and counselling
• Sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment
• Birth control counselling and prescriptions
• Pregnancy counselling, testing and support
• Abortion services (medical and surgical)
• PrEP and PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis)

Reproductive health services include:

• An initial fertility assessment for couples without a primary care provider
• Prenatal care for individuals without a primary care provider
• Menopause counseling and care for individuals without a primary care provider
• Maternal (perinatal and postpartum) mental health services
• Pregnancy loss counseling
• Pap/pelvic exams

• Service navigation
• Support for those living with HIV and/or Hep C
• Help and support to get tested for HIV, Hep C and all other sexually transmitted infections
• Support to those who are newly diagnosed including information about treatment options
