Social, cultural, sport, and recreation programs targeted to youth approximately 10-25 years old. Some programs are for youth with specific needs or challenges such as addictions or victims of bullying.

A supportive, non-judgmental space for families with trans or gender diverse children to meet and have discussions with other parents, staff and volunteers of PEERS Alliance. Parents/caregivers will unlearn myths about gender identity and replace those myths with knowledge and support around issues of gender diversity.

The program is based on the two most important parts of a plant: the roots (parents and caregivers) are responsible for nurturing the shoots (children and dependents) to be the best version of themselves they can be.
  • For parents and caregivers: Can join Roots and Shoots group
  • For trans and gender diverse youth ages 12-18 years: Can join a supportive space called Saplings at Charlottetown. For youth in Summerside can join Rainbow Youth Club which occurs at the same time as Roots and Shoots.
  • For gender creative children ages 13 years and younger: Can join shoots portion of the evening that is offered partnership with Wild Child PEI. It includes fun, outdoor programming with staff, volunteers, and kids who are just like them.

Interactive after-school program that allows youth to:
  • Explore their personal interests
  • Receive homework support
  • Connect with mentors and/or tutors
  • Interact with peers
  • Increase their digital literacy and plan for post-secondary education
  • Have access to the Gerard Gallant Young Leaders Technology Centre and the music studio lab

Staff and volunteers lead group sessions for 2SLGBTQ+ youth. Sessions include:
  • Socializing
  • Educational opportunities
  • Discussions
  • Fun activities
  • Snacks are provided
Parents/caregivers are welcome to contact staff prior to each session to find out what the planned discussion/educational topics are in case they have concerns about age-appropriateness for younger teens.

Provides a social opportunity for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and their allies to sing together in a supportive environment, where participants can explore their identities while enjoying music.

Christian-based program to help youth learn leadership skills. Provides them the chance to experience camp as a staff and includes a training weekend, canoe trip weekend and 1-2 weeks service at Camp during summer camp weeks.
