One subsidy of $100 per child per year available to help offset the cost of a child's participation in an art or recreation activity.

Provides an instant rebate offered for a bicycle purchase at the cash register of participating retailers. The rebate amount is up to $100 with retail prices from $150 to $2,000 (before tax). Limited to five rebates per transaction.

Eligible types are new and non-powered (i.e. non-electric; powered by rider) bicycles includes:

  • Children and adult bicycles
  • Cargo bicycles
  • Tricycles

E-bikes must meet the following conditions:
  • Electric motor must be 500 watts or less
  • Two or three wheels that touch the ground
  • Maximum speed of 32 km/h
  • Maximum weight of 120kg
  • All other regulations as set out by the Highway Safety Act

KidSport Provided by: KidSport
Helps families who face financial barriers to their children participating in sports by providing grants of up to $600 per child per year.

Grants may be applied to more than one sport and to required equipment. There is no limit to the number of children who may receive a grant within one family. Sport activities must be affiliated with member sport organizations of Sport PEI.

10 sets of walking poles are available to borrow in four-week increments with possible extension. Availability is managed on a first-come, first-served basis with a limit of one set of poles per person.
