Walk-in clinics provide non-urgent medical care at locations across Epekwitk / PEI.

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) diagnosis

  • Pregnancy testing and support
  • Mental health management and more

Note: Appointments are not required for testing of sexually transmitted infection, pregnancy, and urinary tract infection.

Prescriptions: Pharmacists can assess and prescribe renewals of medications that were originally prescribed by a physician or nurse practitioner. Several factors are considered to determine if a medication is eligible for renewal by a pharmacist including the type of medication, reason for use, and monitoring required.

People should contact the patient registry if they:
  • Do not have a family doctor or nurse practitioner and would like to register for one
  • Have moved within the province and are looking for a family doctor or nurse practitioner in their new area
  • Are expecting a baby and do not have a family physician or nurse practitioner
  • Are currently on the Patient Registry waitlist and your contact information has changed
  • Are on the Patient Registry and have found your own doctor

Provides access to a registered nurse who is assigned to assist Islanders receiving care at QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax or the Moncton Hospital. The liaison nurse is stationed at the hospital where the patient is being cared for and can help PEI patients and their families:
  • Connect with other health care professionals
  • Locate programs and services that are available to help
  • Assist with the discharge process from an out-of-province hospital

Provides an online directory of recognized practicians (RPs) of therapeutic touch.

RPs use hands to asses the energy field around the body, the intention is to balance the energy field to activate the natural healing potential. Visit website for the full details.

Sessions are part of integrated, complementary healthcare. RPs do not diagnose illness or offer medical advice.

RPs can visit clients at home, in hospital, nursing homes, and hospice.
