Provides information on the Federal Child Support Guidelines and assistance to individuals who do not have lawyers to complete the required court documents to apply for child support for the first time or to change an existing child support order. Assisted areas include:
  • Applying for child support orders
  • Changing an existing child support order or agreement
  • Creating special expense agreements that can be enforced by the PEI Maintenance Enforcement Program (MEP)
  • Applying for Inter-jurisdictional Support Orders
  • Annual recalculation of child support if you have a child support order or agreement that provides for yearly recalculation
Note: The Child Support Services Office does not assist with legal advice, spousal support, division of property or appeals.

Administers and enforces child and spousal support obligations under the terms of a court order or separation agreement. Once an order or separation agreement is registered with the program, support payments will be sent to the program rather than directly to the person receiving the payments. The program will then forward the payments to the recipient.

Note: Permission from ex-partner is not required to register.
