    Households earning below a set annual income may be eligible for financial assistance of up to $1200 per calendar year toward their home heating costs from oil, wood, wood pellets, propane or electrical heat.

    Does not issue a rebate on heating that has already been ordered/paid. Program only pays for heating arranged by the Salvation Army.

    Service Description

    Eligibility:Canadian citizens or permanent residents living in PEI who are facing hardship and whose household gross income is:
    -$45,000 for one person households
    -$60,000 for a family of two or more
    Note:
    * Primary heating bill must be applicant's name
    * Social Assistance recipients are not eligible

    Documents Required:Completed application form * Most recent property tax bill (if owned) or Lease Agreement (if rented) * Previous year's Notice of Assessment of all the members of the household * Primary heating bill with applicant's name * Proof of address
