Online service that provides free legal information, form-filling services, and referrals in a trans-positive and inclusive space.

Law students and lawyer volunteers assist trans and gender diverse individuals with obtaining new pieces of identification. Includes:

  • Birth certificate
  • Passport
  • Driver's licence
  • Medicare card
  • SIN number
  • Newcomer documents
  • Student ID (name only)

Program provided in partnership with Imprint Youth Association.

People born in PEI can apply to change their gender designation as it is recorded with Vital Statistics.

Note: A new birth certificate is not automatically issued as part of this process. Once gender designation process is complete, people can apply separately to receive a new birth certificate if they wish.
