Opportunities to socialize with peers in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Provides a four-day sleep-away summer camp to youth in 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in partnership with Camp Abegweit. Diverse workshops, activities, and games will be offered to empower gender-diverse youth while fostering a safe space for all participants.

Provides a social opportunity for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and their allies to sing together in a supportive environment, where participants can explore their identities while enjoying music.

Staff and volunteers lead group sessions for 2SLGBTQ+ youth. Sessions include:
  • Socializing
  • Educational opportunities
  • Discussions
  • Fun activities
  • Snacks are provided
Parents/caregivers are welcome to contact staff prior to each session to find out what the planned discussion/educational topics are in case they have concerns about age-appropriateness for younger teens.

A supportive, non-judgmental space for families with trans or gender diverse children to meet and have discussions with other parents, staff and volunteers of PEERS Alliance. Parents/caregivers will unlearn myths about gender identity and replace those myths with knowledge and support around issues of gender diversity.

The program is based on the two most important parts of a plant: the roots (parents and caregivers) are responsible for nurturing the shoots (children and dependents) to be the best version of themselves they can be.
  • For parents and caregivers: Can join Roots and Shoots group
  • For trans and gender diverse youth ages 12-18 years: Can join a supportive space called Saplings at Charlottetown. For youth in Summerside can join Rainbow Youth Club which occurs at the same time as Roots and Shoots.
  • For gender creative children ages 13 years and younger: Can join shoots portion of the evening that is offered partnership with Wild Child PEI. It includes fun, outdoor programming with staff, volunteers, and kids who are just like them.

Provides a weekly in-person action role playing games program for youth to explore the outdoors while create and navigate a story together. The program is delivered in partnership with Wild Child and provided in a safe queer and trans inclusive environment.

Note: Program is held outdoors and come prepared with appropriate clothing for the weather.

A safe space for youth to drop in and hang out with each other and participate in quiet activities such as reading, puzzling, homework, etc.
