Criminal Background Checks

Individuals may request a Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Check, often required for employment or volunteering.

Criminal Background Check: Uses names and date of birth to check a person's criminal history.
Vulnerable Sector Check: Required for applicants who will be in a position of trust or authority over children, the elderly,or other vulnerable group. A name-based search of the national repository of criminal convictions and a query of the pardoned sex-offender database is conducted. Fingerprints may be required.
