Independent Living Support

Provides customized, flexible support to individuals who require assistance to live as independently as possible. Different levels of supervision are offered to meet the needs of participants in their own home, apartment setting, or anywhere they are living where they might benefit from these services.

The services may include:

• Managing a home to meet the participant's needs
• Support to encourage and foster community inclusion
• Assistance and education to support problem-solving skills
• Money management assistance
• Medical appointment scheduling and attendance
• Cooking and related household shopping

Helps build a customized program to meet the specific needs of an individual who has an intellectual disability and/or dual disabilities. Staff are matched to the applicant.

Some examples of services that might be offered to individuals with an intellectual disability and their families include:

• Respite if needed by the senior parent or caregiver
• Support if needed in-home to help the client learn home safety skills, life skills, etc.
• Person needs to work on building independence from their family

Helps enhancing each individual's ability to navigate, interact, build relationships, participate in community activities and conduct transactions as independently as possible in the community.

Participants take part in their community and improve their personal skills by providing access to regular meaningful social contact and stimulating activities. Includes:

• Daily living skills
• Education and learning activities
• Social activities
• Recreation and leisure activities
• Accessing Community services

Provides variety of virtual recreational programs for children with sight loss to connect with peers to socialize while learning or playing. Includes:

• Listening to live reading
• Singing and dancing together
• Playing game and more

• Letters and greeting cards
• Household labels
• Music scores
• Course materials
• Prescription/medical information
