Memory PEI provides information at a collection level and the PARO Collections Database offers item level searching as well as family history information searchable by name. Examples of the types of items that may be referenced in the databases include:
  • Private or business papers related to PEI
  • Province of PEI government records
  • Court records
  • Maps, photographs and other media
  • Family history information like census records, church records, vital statistics records, etc.

  • Helping first time visitors register for a Public Archives and Records Office research pass
  • Answering research questions, suggesting search strategies and retrieving requested material

  • Providing limited research assistance to those who ask questions by phone, mail or email
