Food banks distribute free groceries. Community Fridges offer a cupboard and/or fridge with free food donated by businesses and community members. Some community fridges and food banks also have free personal hygiene items.

Student Support Services - Food Shelves

Food items such as snacks, canned or packaged goods are available to pick up for free at a food shelf in all locations. Students can drop in throughout the day with the limitation of three items per person a day.

Provides food supply for individuals who are experiencing food insecurity. It operates as a store where individuals can choose items they need from the shelves once a week.

Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Food Bank - Cornwall

Provides food packages that contain canned and dried goods, milk, meat, eggs, bread, laundry soap, and toiletries.

Can be accessed once a month.

Life's Necessities

Provides donated goods to people with a self-identified need. Goods include:

Household items
Furniture
Personal items

Hunter River Helping Hand Program

Provides a monthly food pick up to individuals experiencing food insecurity. The amount of food available varies each month.

Donations accepted.

Food Pantry

Provides non-perishable food items once a week. Pantry operates on a four week cycle, individuals will receive five items on the first week, followed by four, three and two items in the proceeding weeks.

Food Box Program

Provides emergency food boxes with food preparation recipes to individuals in need. Food boxes can be accessed once a month.

Food Bank - Summerside

Provides several days worth of food to those in need. Clients can access once every 30 days.

Food Bank - Charlottetown

Provides 2-3 days worth of emergency food assistance.

Clients can access once every 30 days. Arrangements can be made to have a friend/family member pick-up the food if unable to get to the food bank.

Food Bank

Provides food hampers that include canned and boxed goods, dairy products, vegetables, meat, fresh produce and hygiene products. Clients can receive one hamper per month.
