Financial Assistance
Assists job seekers in gaining skills and education necessary to find and maintain employment. Financial support of up to 70% of course costs is provided to enable job seekers to complete a post secondary certificate or diploma program. Financial support may also be available for travel and childcare costs.

Assists job seekers in gaining skills and education necessary to find and maintain employment. Financial support of up to 70% of course costs is provided to enable job seekers to complete a post secondary certificate or diploma program. Financial support may also be available for travel and childcare costs.
Products specifications
Eligibility:Applicants must:

-Be unemployed
-Lack the skills or education to find work
-Be legally authorized to work in Canada (citizen or permanent resident)
-Be out of high school for at least one year
-Have a current claim for Employment Insurance (EI) claim or have a previous EI claim that has ended within the previous 60 months
-Other criteria may apply
Fees:Yes * Must be able to pay portion of education costs
How to Access:Call or drop in to book an appointment with a case manager
Documents Required:
-Completed Training PEI Application for Funding
-Return-to-Work Action Plan prepared by your case manager
-Resume
-SkillsPEI Consent Form
-Acceptance letter from a post-secondary institution
-Proof of education
