A guide dog is partnered with individuals with sight loss to help with mobility and fosters independence by avoiding obstacles, stopping at curbs and steps or navigating traffic.
Once application is received, applicants undergo an orientation and mobility assessment and an in-home assessment. If accepted for training, applicants are placed on a match list until a suitable match is identified.
Once a match identified, applicants will be contacted to discuss the match and team training dates. Training will be in either a hotel or domiciliary (home-based) environment.

Provides a two-week summer transformational opportunity for youth with sight loss to learn and develop skills for their academic and job-seeking goals. Includes:

Provides a virtual support group for parents of a child living with vision loss, in a more rural community. Common questions and concerns are covered during the meeting. Topics include:
Provides a free festive dinner to CNIB clients to celebrate the holiday ambience. CNIB clients are welcome to bring a guest to enjoy the evening together.
Time and Location for 2025:
Provides in-person and online social event for individuals with sight loss, their family and friends. In-person gatherings are hosted in Charlottetown, Summerside and Montague. Meeting location and time vary. In-person activities may include:
Provides weekly hour-long walking groups in Charlottetown and Montague. Walks are followed by a cup of tea and treat.
