Issues burning permits for Category 2, 3 and 4 fires to those who wish to use outdoor fire pits/fireplaces or to dispose of grasses, brush, leaves or other woody debris during fire season (March 15th to November 15th).

Permits are not required for Category 1 fire (burning domestic brush) and campfires, but the fire restrictions must be checked each day prior to burning.

Exceptions - the following communities issue burn permits at their local municipal office:

  • Souris
  • Three Rivers (Georgetown)
  • Three Rivers (Montague)
  • Stratford
  • Charlottetown
  • Cornwall
  • Kensington
  • Summerside
  • Miscouche
  • Alberton
