Provides support and advocacy to Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) individuals living on Epekwitk / PEI.

Provides outreach, advocacy and follow-up services that address the social and emotional needs of BIPOC individuals on PEI. This is provided through:

  • Assessment of needs
  • Support
  • Connecting to resources
  • Advocacy
  • System navigation
  • Assistance with filling out forms
  • Accompaniment to meetings
  • Other needs as they arise
  • Identification of system gaps and engaging the community to fill those gaps


Navigation and advocacy support is available around issues of:

  • Justice
  • Education
  • Health care
  • Housing
  • Employment
  • Discrimination

Provides confidential mental health group therapy for members of the BIPOC community, in partnership with the University of Prince Edward Island and facilitated by a PhD student enrolled in UPEI's Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) Program.

Offers a diverse range of workshops and events designed to support and empower members of the BIPOC community.

Offers drop-in hours for members of the BIPOC community to connect, enjoy good company, work, or engage in activities of their choice in a welcoming space. Snacks, tea, and coffee are often available.

Provides an in-person peer support group for all female identified individuals in the BIPOC community to connect with peers and support each other. Meeting topics include:
  • Self-care
  • Mental health
  • Self-defense
  • Wellness
  • Community care and more
