    An independent living program for individuals who are struggling with their mental health wanting a residential experience (up to 28 days). Participants are responsible for their own laundry, cooking, and light cleaning. The program includes:
    • Attending Day Treatment Program
    • Recreation activities
    • Pharmacy education
    • Occupational therapy support
    • Life skills development (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, etc.)
    • Facilitation to a safe return to community living (linking to community supports and resources)
    • Family support groups

    Service Description

    Eligibility:Open to all PEI residents age 18 years and older who are experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of a psychiatric diagnosis that do not require hospitalization and are compliant with their medications.
    Must be:
    -Inactive in substance use
    -Psychiatrically stable
    -Must have stable housing in place before entering the program
    Fees:No fees
    How to Access:Request a referral from physician, psychologist, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, occupational therapist, social worker or inpatient acute care service * Referral form available online
    Documents Required:Completed referral form * PEI Health Card number
