    Provides a free Christmas hamper that contains a turkey dinner, non-perishable goods, milk, butter, and gifts for all children up to age 18 years in the household.

    2025 Registration Dates:

    • Mondays: November 10th, 17th, 24th, and December 1st
    • Fridays: November 14st, 21st, 28th, and December 5th

    2025 application deadline: December 5th

    Pick-up date: December 19th. All applicants will be contacted with a pick-up time at Kensington Legion.

    Donations accepted.

    Service Description

    Eligibility:Open to anyone with a self-identified need * Cannot be accessing another Christmas hamper program
    Fees:No fees
    How to Access:Drop in to Summerside Salvation Army for the registration * If unable to register in person, you can send someone else to register on your behalf but they must have a letter of permission from you and have the required registration documents
    Documents Required:Government issued picture identification and Health Card for each family member * For children, picture identification isn't required, a government issued identification such as a Health Card is required * Proof of current address, no older than six weeks. Driver's licence not accepted as proof of address
